Hello, I'm Vilhjálmur
Born and raised in Iceland, I've spent my life exploring every corner of this extraordinary island. From the rugged highlands to hidden hot springs, from ancient sagas to modern Reykjavik — I know Iceland intimately, and I love sharing it with curious travelers.
With a background in international business and senior roles in Iceland’s export and energy sectors, I bring a high level of experience and insight to every tour. After years of guiding visitors across Iceland, I founded Embracing Iceland to offer a more personal and refined experience: small, private tours where you travel in comfort and discover Iceland at your own pace, as a valued guest rather than a number.
When I'm not guiding, you'll find me hiking with, photographing the northern lights, or hunting for the best lamb soup in the country.

This means personal attention, flexibility, and the ability to visit places large coach simply can't reach. We offer 3 categories 1-4, – 5-8, or 9-16 people
