How is your personal information received and collected, used, and shared when you use or book with our website? What steps do we take to safeguard information?

We will collect certain information from you when you make an enquiry or book a trip with us. Depending on your interaction with us and what products and services you use, we may collect the following personal information:

Your full name, date of birth, gender, title, postal address, phone number, email address, travel insurance details, nationality, and city. We may also ask for a self-health declaration form to be completed prior to tour departure, which are considered sensitive under data protection laws.

To make a payment using credit card you can use the secure online booking engine or call us for other payment procedure. Your payment card details are not recorded, stored or retained by Embracing Iceland tours in any way and therefore we ask that you do not email your payment card details. We are a new company and plan to use a third-party vendor (to be announced) to process these payments. If we need to provide you with a refund, your bank details may be collected, which are recorded and stored.

When you are travelling with us a photo or video may be taken by the Embracing Iceland driver guide. We ask that any photos or video taken, by us, are done so with permission and respect to the individual. If you do not want to be included in photos or video, please let us know.

When you visit our websites, we use cookies. Cookies are small text files placed on your computer by us. Cookies allow us to identify the computer or device you’re using to access our websites. This information is sent back to our systems as you move around our website.  We do this only to analyze how our customer use our website, which then enable us to improve the website.

Mainly to communicate with you. We do not share your information to third party, nor do we use your information to provide you with targeting advertisements.

We only share information about you with third parties when you give us consent to do so. For example, we often display personal reviews of satisfied customers on our public websites. With your consent, we may post your name alongside the review.
