Embracing Iceland is committed to delivering quality service and ensuring that our tours exceed guest's expectations.

Below your will find our terms and conditions.

Booking and Conditions.

  • You may book your tour at our website at www.embracingiceland.is or by email at info@embracingiceland.is or by calling +354 8585410
  • It is possible to book few of our classic tours and pay at the same time via Online Booking Engine name: Bokun
  • All prices on our website are presented in USD, and include all taxes such as VAT.
  • Website unit prices cover a certified local driver guide and exclusive use of vehicle depending on group size.
  • Typically, the price presented on our website are guaranteed to be the best price, and is for a specific tour, based on its minimum duration and max 4 passengers.
  • If you require transportation for additional passengers (5-16 people), we can provide a special price offer, either by offering larger jeeps, Toyota Proace, Mercedes Van or Sprinter.
  • You may confirm your booking by paying a deposit of 30% or pay a full payment at the time of booking
  • Full payment is required before the the tour take place.
  • No surcharges applies for credit card payments
  • No surcharges applies for road tolls, entries fees for National Parks, taxes and parking
  • Embracing Iceland reserves the right to adjust website prices without prior notice due to currency fluctuations, government taxes, or uncontrollable cost increases. Prices are guaranteed against any surcharge once booking has been done and paid.
  • If you suffer from any known medical conditions you must let us know in advance.
  • In the unlikely event of a medical incident, you hereby authorize Embracing Iceland to take such action as is necessary for the provision of medical service at your cost, including but not limited to arrangement of any medical evacuation service by air or road. Same applies for any nurse, doctor, paramedic or ambulance offer and any necessary hospital service.
  • By purchasing the tour, you agree to these terms & conditions, understanding and accepting responsibility for your participation in your trip. Depending on the optional activity which is usually provided by third party, you may be requested to sign an additional liability release.
  • If booked directly with us, then our travelers can always amend the booking if done before 24 hours of the departure. (Based on availability)
Cancellation
  • Customers need to inform Embracing Iceland about any cancellations and/or changes a.s.a.p.
  • All cancellations must be in writing by email and confirmed by Embracing Iceland
  • If you cancel a standard day-tour up to 4 pers in writing received within 72 hours prior to your departure, you will receive 100% refund minus any third party transaction fees and/or currency changes that may have occurred from the time of payment.
  • If you cancel a tailor-made day-tours in writing received within 72 hours prior to your departure, you will receive 75% refund.
  • Cancellation policy for Groups larger than10 pers are different
    • Deposit usually 20% is non-refundable if cancelled 90 days before arrival of the group
    • 50-90 days prior to arrival of group you will receive 50% refund of total group booking
    • 20-49 days prior to arrival of group you will receive 25% refund of total group booking
    • 19-0 days prior to arrival of group you will receive 0% of total group booking
Passenger Behavior
  • We prohibit the consumption of illicit drugs or alcohol in our vehicles.
  • We do not allow smoking inside our vehicles.
  • Embracing Iceland may eject passengers for inappropriate, offensive, intoxicated or destructive behavior in the vehicle. This may include a request for police intervention.
Assumed Risk & Outdoor Activities
  • According to Icelandic Laws, both drivers and passengers should wear seatbelts. Should you require special safety seats for infants or children, then Embracing Iceland will provide appropriate Child Safety Seat upon request.
  • Passengers are advised that all tour activities with Embracing Iceland are entirely at their own risk. All outdoor activities involve inherent risks. Please adhere to guidelines and take responsibility for your own safety. Embracing Iceland or its partners shall not held liable for any accidents, injuries, illnesses, fatalities, property damage (for example loss of enjoyment), expense, costs or other claims of any description whatsoever, which results from any, but not limited to following:
    • Actions and/or omissions of the passengers or any members of their party.
    • Actions and/or omissions of a third party not connected with the provision of the services and which were unforeseeable or unavoidable.
    • Circumstances beyond Embracing Iceland's control, as defined under Force Majeure.
  • Embracing Iceland is not liable for any losses or expenses, delays, damages, accidents, sickness, changes in schedules caused by weather or any other irregularity outside the control of Embracing Iceland.
Travel Insurance:
  • There is no travel insurance cover included in the price of our tours.
  • We strongly recommend that you purchase adequate travel insurance policy in your home country before starting your trip to Iceland, that covers your cost in case you need to cancel your travel reservation. This kind of travel insurance is not expensive and should covers other risks. Having travel insurance is always a good idea when traveling around the world.
  • It is passengers responsibility to to ensure that the insurances covers all activities during the holiday, for example but limited to water sports, riding tours, snow scooter tours, glacier hiking and winter sports. Please read the policy carefully and take it with you on your holiday.
Force Majeure:

Embracing Iceland disclaims responsibility for any loss, damage, accidents, sickness, or changes in schedule caused by Force Majeure events, including but not limited to war, weather, strikes, labor dispute, lockout or interruption or failure of electricity or heating service, natural disaster (including fire, flood, and earthquakes), epidemics and quarantines, or any other irregularity outside the company’s control and for expenses due to any of these reasons. All such losses and
expenses are the personal liability of the guest. We advise all our guests to acquire a travel insurance before they travel.

Itinerary changes:
  • Embracing Iceland tours reserves the right to alter/change/correct mistakes that may appear on our website. This also applies for this terms and conditions.
  • If severe weather leads to the cancellation of your booked tour, we will either provide you with a full refund or reschedule an alternative day for your experience.
  • In case of necessity during a tour, such as weather or road conditions, “Embracing Iceland” reserve the right to adjust the itinerary in collaboration with our passengers.
  • Should a necessity arise prior to a booked tour, such as due to weather or road conditions Embracing Iceland reserve the right to alter or cancel the itinerary.
